Some audiences might have thought the sequel's finale episode, titled "Wizard City," offered subtle satisfaction and closure in comparison to the far more endearing premier of Together Again, which aired prior and revolved around Jake and Finn's continued adventures in the afterlife however, it also left the door wide open for a whole other plot. Through and through, this short spin-off held true to the whimsical and witty, yet positively endearing integrity that made the original show such a unique delicacy. Since its debut in June 2020, this follow-up feature has fans going fanatic, receiving positive attention from even the most loyal and lifelong enthusiasts. Fortunately for those who fall under the "can't get enough" category, Distant Lands lacks no luck in that department. Namely, the show's revival is dominantly dependent on what the people "want" and their desire for more. Sources say Muto also claims a high chance for the band to be brought back if requested by popular demand. Those who are disappointed in not knowing what the future holds for this charismatic crew can rejoice in HBO's recent encouragement regarding another spin-off adaptation set to be released sometime in the future, only this one starring "gender-swapped versions of Jake and Finn," Fionna and Cake. In other words, HBO's endorsement of this series plays a huge role in distinguishing whether Distant Lands will return. If not for their sponsored interest, vision, and support, Huto may not have been so inspired to rekindle his retired flames. Indeed, there is an undeniable aura of beauty behind the story previously ending with an ambiguously metaphoric acceptance of death as inevitable for all living creatures, but where's the magic and adventure in that? HBO administration evidently saw the show's potential for enchanted expansion and growth before Huto even caught second wind to see it himself. It's the kind of reputation with power to bring a plot planning on retiring years ago back from the dead. From documentaries to drama, there's no denying HBO has built quite the reputable name for itself in the department of creating outstanding, critically acclaimed, and widely sought-after content. In a recent interview with IGN, Muto revealed a major reason for Distant Lands initial return to be imparted by HBO Max's adoption opening a new outlet for modern development, imaginative growth, and impactful outreach. According to the producer, Adam Muto, there are three main distinguishers that will determine whether the special will be renewed for a second season. Princess Bubblegum makes a full return while supporting roles, specifically Peppermint Buttler, are given new ones completely.īased on the amount of affirmative appraisal this sudden and totally unexpected release has won already, hope for another resurrection is not too far-fetched. It's only suiting that such a grand and epic finale would be met with such an ultimate, yet equivocally endearing end - that is, if it were really as ultimate as it seemed.Īdventure Time: Distant Lands picks up right where the story last left off, centering around the cherished core group of characters and what they've been up to since, in addition to introducing new ones. Albeit, they must have pulled a few pages from the Boy Who Cried Wolf book because this dynamic duo's adventures were far from over then.īack in 2018, the trailblazing, ten seasons long Adult Swim series - known for using cartoony animation and child-like characters as a conduit to demonstrate darker, more mature concepts - came to an epic close with the last episode, entitled Come Along With Me, touching on the darkest theme yet: death. Jake, a human cartoon played by actor Jeremy Shada, and his talking, double-agent best-friend dog named Finn, voiced by John (not-Joe-the-baseball-legend) Dimaggio, reigned Cartoon Network as beloved partners in crime for almost a decade before creative directors announced Adventure Time their official resignation. Will the charming adventures of Jake and Finn stop here, or will they make a comeback for the second time? Whether or not the HBO Max special will be renewed for another season is dependent on a few factors. Use Ravenous Vortex to control your distance to your enemies.Be careful to not get surrounded, as Block slows Ramattra's movement speed while active and only protects from the front.Has no cooldown or duration as long as Nemesis Form is active. If in range, it can be used to immediately finish off 200 and 250 HP enemies that would otherwise be left with 20/10 HP after 3/4 hits. Quick Melee can still be used in Nemesis Form, canceling the recovery animation of Pummel. If you are not in position to make use of Pummel and Block, you should deactivate it to get its cooldown back up slightly faster for the next engage. Nemesis Form's cooldown starts when the ability ends.In a pinch, it is completely fine to activate Nemesis Form and Block to keep yourself from dying. Nemesis Form instantly grants a chunk of armor on top of your current HP.It can be deployed up to 35 meters away and can be used to block sniper spots or healing from supports. The barrier has lot of health, but its duration is short, it cannot be reoriented and has rather long cooldown, so think carefully when to use it.The burstier damage and movement speed bonus are better for securing kills, and it is very easy to get blown up in Omnic Form without the additional armor health once Void Barrier expires. While Void Accelerator does deal more single-target damage than Pummel, especially with headshots, it is generally better to fight in Nemesis Form when you can.Good tool for baiting enemies to use key abilities early. Most useful up close due to slow projectile speed, making it easier to land headshots.Good mid/long-range "poke damage" due to no damage fall-off.He can also protect himself and his team from big, quick damage, with Void Barrier and Block. His greatest strength is chaining together attacks with his team, like Sigma's ultimate, Ravenous Vortex, and Nemesis form to quickly eliminate groups. Also his shield is only up for 4 seconds so use it as a flash shield, to counter ultimates. Players have to choose when it is best to use the Nemesis form, such as rushing the enemy. In his omnic form, Ramattra is good at 'poking' the enemy, whereas his Nemesis form is designed for close combat. Ramattra's gameplay style differs in accordance with his form. His fills create a kind of call and response between his improvisations and the original melody. It’s almost like he’s commenting on or responding to the melody in real time as it unfolds.Īdditionally, sometimes he holds on the longer notes of the melody, whereas at other moments he plays them crisp and short. Most likely he’s trying to deal with the fact that the piano lacks the same power as a voice or horn in its ability to sustain long notes. Since the piano lacks the ability to shape long held notes, he shortens some of the melody’s held-out notes and adds melodic fills.Īlso note how he creates balance and variety by contrasting his relatively busy playing on the A sections by playing a simplified, stripped-down version of the bridge. Here’s a simplified and analyzed notation of the head in: Lesson #2: Be able to play unaccompanied improvised melodies and clearly outline the chord changes.Īt the end of the head in (and the beginning of Bill’s full-blown solo), the drummer (Paul Motian) drops out completely and the bassist (Scott LaFaro) starts playing in “broken” time, freely switching between playing whole notes, half notes, and walking quarter-note lines. So, Bill has to start his solo without the full harmonic and rhythmic assistance of the rest of the trio. Bill could’ve made it easier to maintain the form, harmony, and groove by comping for himself with chords in his left hand, but instead, he chose to improvise unaccompanied single-line melodies in his right hand. In 1970, 16 Swiss brands, including Zenith, created a consortium for the creation of watches equipped with a Swiss-made quartz movement (the famous Beta 21). In the late 1960s/early 1970s, the invasion of Japanese quartz watches posed a serious threat to the Swiss watchmaking industry. Unfortunately, despite all the excitement for this important innovation in watchmaking, the quartz crisis was at the door. The first El Primero timepiece that appeared in a Zenith advertisement (March 1969) was the A384 reference.Įl Primero A385, circa 1971 - Courtesy of Christie's This model has all the advantages of a standard watch plus the date, automatic winding and the chronograph with timers and calendar.” The extraordinary feature is that both these mechanisms fit in a space smaller than that of a traditional chronograph. This is the first watch of its type in the world. It is equipped with an hour and minute timer. It comprises a high-frequency automatic watch with calendar along with a timer-chronograph allowing time measurements to the tenth of a second. Zenith and Movado (at the time the two brands were owned by the same holding) explained these features in their announcement: “The Zenith and Movado watch companies have achieved an extraordinary feat in combining two precision watches in one. The Zenith El Primero was the first high frequency (36,000 vibrations per hour vs 19,800 vph of the Chronomatic and 21,600 vph of the Seiko 6139), fully integrated, automatic chronograph, the first with a running seconds hand and it was only 6.5 mm thick, even slimmer than traditional chronographs! The 1969 advertisement below well emphasized its peculiarities. The Zenith El Primero had special features that set it apart. It must instead be remarked that the three movements had significant differences. Working prototypes of all three movements were available at the same time. We think it is not particularly important to determine who actually arrived first in the race. Seiko had quietly introduced their own 6139 automatic chronograph movement to the Japanese market only in May while the Chronomatic Group released its first example in August. In fact, Seiko and the Chronomatic Group (a partnership between Heuer-Léonidas, Breitling, Hamilton-Büren and Dubois-Dépraz) were also running the race to the first automatic chronograph movement. Codenamed 3019 PHC, this movement was renamed “El Primero”, which means “the first” in Spanish.Įxcerpt from a service manual of the El Primero 3019 PHCĭespite the announcement, the Zenith El Primero debuted later in the year, in September, thus making it possible for other competitors to start selling their automatic movements a few months in advance. In 1969, at a press conference held on January the 10th, Zenith announced the imminent launch of the first fully integrated, high-frequency, automatic chronograph movement. With all these requirements, the bar was raised so high that the project could not be completed in time for the centenary in 1965 but it required four more years. A relatively small size and a date indication were additional specifications. And to make things even more challenging, the beating frequency of the chronograph had to be high enough to make it the most accurate chronograph wristwatch in the world measuring 1/10th of a second. Instead of considering the easier option to add a chronograph module to a base movement, Zenith had a more ambitious plan: the chronograph function had to be fully integrated within the mechanism and actuated by a column wheel rather than by an easier-to-implement cam. In 1962, Zenith began developing the idea of creating the first automatic chronograph in watchmaking history with the ambition to launch it in 1965, on occasion of the centenary of the Manufactury. While automatic movements for “solo-tempo” or three-hand watches started becoming popular in the 1940s and 1950s, no automatic chronograph movements had been manufactured yet. After the First World War Zenith began with the development and manufacture of wristwatches, including alarm and chronograph functions. These successes accelerated the growth of the company which was transformed into a stock company in 1911. Over the years, Zenith won many more competitions achieving the impressive record of more than 2,300 prizes considering pocket watches, on board instruments and wristwatches Founded in 1865 in Le Locle by Georges Favre-Jacot, Zenith quickly earned a reputation as the manufacturer of some of the most precise timepieces of those years achieving the first prize in the chronometry competition of the observatory of Neuchâtel in 1903. This won’t however keep out any sort of predators.įorty-seven-inch high field wire with openings twelve inches wide and six inches high will work on cattle fences that aren’t straight or in good condition. The posts should be about ten feet apart with two, twist-on, fence stays between each post.Ĭattle fences can easily be made goat proof by adding more strands of barb wire, but only if the original fence is straight, well built, and in good condition. This is difficult to do in rough terrain with shallow soil. For this type of fence to work, the fence has to be straight, high tensile barb wire has to be stretched very tight, and the corners have to be well anchored and braced. Goat Fencing (built with ten strands of barb wire.) Some of our friends are successful holding goats with ten strands of barb wire. One can usually add several goats per acre to a cattle pasture without decreasing the number of cows per acre, but most cattle ranchers don’t have adequate fences for goats. Cattle and goats prefer to eat different forages. They can supplement their income while doing so. Many cattle producers would like to use meat goats to control sprouts and weeds in their cattle pastures. It is more expensive to fence goats than it is to fence cattle. We also show some that have worked well for other meat goat producers in our area. The ones we use are described and pictured here. There are many different types of fences that work well for goats and not really “one” fence that you could say is the best goat fence for any circumstance. |
